Georgeson has been engaged by Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) to administer an Asset Reunification™ program to search and locate holders of lost assets and reunite RBC shareholders with their unclaimed cash and/or share entitlements.
What does this mean? Why did I receive this website information?
The program website has been provided by RBC to help ensure that lost shareholders of RBC, including lost former shareholders of companies acquired by RBC, such as Alabama National Bancorporation, Centura Banks Inc, City National, Ferris Baker Watts Incorporated, RBTT Financial Group (RBTT), receive their rightful cash and RBC share entitlement.
There are two different types of shareholders to whom this program applies:
Lost shareholders of RBC
Anyone who owns common and/or preferred shares of RBC to whom the company has been unable to correspond with to deliver company meeting materials or dividend payments, resulting from an address change or some other change in circumstances is considered a lost shareholder.
Former Lost Predecessor Shareholders
Any shareholder of Alabama National Bancorporation, Centura Banks Inc, City National, Ferris Baker Watts Incorporated, RBTT Financial Group (RBTT) who has not received their RBC shares following the company’s acquisition by RBC is considered a former shareholder. These former shareholders are “lost" shareholders and have yet to exchange their predecessor company share certificates for their RBC share entitlement.
RBC's press releases include additional details on RBC’s acquisitions.
What does this mean?
If you were a shareholder of one of the above listed companies at the time that RBC acquired the company, you should have exchanged your acquired company shares for the RBC shares to which you were entitled to as a result of the acquisition.
How do I claim my entitlement?
To claim your entitlement, you may choose one of the following options:
- Complete the Asset Reunification Card that was sent to you and mail it back to us, using the business reply envelope provided.
