In this year's report

Throughout 2024 we witnessed continued trends in proxy voting and shareholder engagement across the ASX300. From 40 strikes against remuneration reports, to almost 100 instances of 10% or more votes 'against' board-endorsed candidates, it was another eventful year for corporate Australia.

These outcomes show the power of shareholder proxy voting as a key market discipline facing Australian listed companies. It also highlights the influence and nuances of major institutional investor and proxy adviser policies, providing early indications of engagement topics and structural changes that ASX boards will need to prioritise in 2025 and beyond.
